Collectible Card Game - Rarity List AcceleRacers Other Merchandise Info

My gratitude to Kevin M. P. Woller who submitted the entry below and the list (see link above).

The attached list was compiled from 5 different collectors across the country, who had opened approximately 6 starter decks, 235 3-packs (that come packaged with the Acceleracers cars) and 126 booster (15 card) packs for a total of 2828 cards. Typically the rarest cards are the ?Hologram? (reflective silver-finished cards with holographic images) and ?Foil? (cards that have a ?rainbow? effect) cards respectively. Each booster pack contains at least one foil or hologram card and I found from the overall numbers a ratio of approximately 6:1 (6 Foil cards for every 1 Hologram pulled). RARELY a 3-pack will contain a Foil (and perhaps a Hologram) card, but in the 48 3-packs I opened, I only pulled 2 Foil cards.

The entire Acceleracers Collectible Card Game set consists of 246 cards, however the last six (241-246) are always included but only available in the starter decks. Of the remaining 240 cards, there are only 9 Hologram cards and 25 Foil cards.* With no guidelines as to how many actual levels of rarity exist from the Hot Wheels website, the literature on the booster packs? packaging, the packages themselves or the 3-packs, I came up with a 4-tiered system including ?Very Rare?, ?Rare?, ?Uncommon? and ?Common?. I based this system on how many of each card you would expect to find vs. how many of each card was actually pulled by the 5 collectors combined.

This by no means is an ''official'' guide (like the various price guides on the market), however, I do believe it is a good reflection of set. I would recommend that this list be used more as a starting point or guide for trades. Have fun, and ''Welcome to the Racing Realms!''

* At the time of this writing, no information was available regarding card #94-Metro Realm, as none of the 5 collectors pulled this card.
